Enchantment Here in the Northeast, USA the first hint of chilly air drifted by in early September. After such a hot, dry summer, it was good to feel that refreshing breeze on my face. It came after a rainy day, when the much needed moisture fell softly and steadily, all day and night. When the first scent of autumn arrives, a feeling of enchantment washes over me, and the usual result is gourds, pumpkins, leaf garlands, cinnamon candles, witchy statuary, and spicy scented pinecones sprouting all around the house. I can’t help it. I love autumn! The scents, the rich colors and the haunted tales give me goosebumps—of the delightful variety.
Love the Legend of Sleepy Hollow (and the Johnny Depp movie). The Wendy Webb book also sounds like something I’d enjoy, so I’ll be sure to look it up 🎃 I’ve been writing down my goals for this year - and the next one - as well. I always get too ambitious though, and then I can’t accomplish them all haha. But I know that progress of any kind is to be celebrated. I’m certainly looking forward to the colder days ahead! Wishing you blessings this autumn season 🍁
I know what you mean. I try not to get down on myself, but that's why the grateful list comes in handy. It seems to ground me, to be thankful for what I *did* accomplish, lol! If you read the Wendy Webb book, let me know what you think. Enjoy!
